Hardie Valley Park

Fox Chapel is a classic example of what can be done to preserve a rural atmosphere that includes tree protection and steep slope preservation in the very midst of urbanization. The Borough's parkland mainly consists of a longitudinal park system and trail that starts at the southern border of O'Hara Community Park and bisects the Borough for over four miles. The system connects on the northern border with Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve/Audubon Society.

The longitudinal park system, consisting of approximately 345 acres, is now complete due to the acquisition of the Hardie Valley Park. The Hardie property is a unique property with a high-quality stream running through it, a pond, waterfall, and meadow.
