Press Release
For Immediate Release
January 12, 2022

The Women’s Board of Pittsburgh will celebrate its 30th Anniversary of raising money to help children’s charities in the Pittsburgh area.  Since our first event in 1992, we have donated over $1.2 million to support the welfare and development of children in our community. We hope you can join us for our first hybrid fundraising event:

Friday, May 6, 2022
In-person activities:

Pittsburgh Field Club
4:30 to 7:00 PM
Cocktail fare and runway fashion show by Carabella of Oakmont

Virtual activities:
Andrew Stockey, Emcee
Cooking demonstration by Chef Paul O’Toole, Executive Chef of The Pittsburgh Field Club
Online auction

Due to the generosity of the Pittsburgh community, our Board has increased the amount raised from $5000 at our first event to over $90,000 in 2021. Through our selection process, we have discovered many deserving and often underserved organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children. For the first time since our inception, we will announce the beneficiaries of our 2022 fundraiser sometime after the event, when we can align the monies raised with the specified needs of the nominated organizations. Depending on those needs, we may be able to provide funds to more than one beneficiary.
