Finance Department

The Finance Department’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the Borough’s finances are managed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Included in these duties is responsibility for the annual audit and the Borough’s compliance with generally accepted accounting and financial reporting procedures. The department is further charged with overall responsibility for the Borough’s system of internal controls and the prevention of waste, fraud, and misuse.

Other duties assigned to this office include preparation and ongoing daily control of the government’s budget, as well as responsibility for all cash management and investment procedures, preparation of the Capital Improvements Plan, and processing the Borough’s payroll and accounts payable functions.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee for the Borough of Fox Chapel provides oversight of Borough finances. The committee reviews the annual budget for the Borough that was developed by the Finance Director and Borough Manager.

The Finance Committee monitors the fiscal affairs of the Borough and makes recommendations on any issues affecting the Borough's finances. The Committee has no final authority or responsibility for policy-making or administration.
